The series is part of my ongoing photographic project named "Blind Shapes".
I use both traditional
films and digital images which I print on Fabriano cotton paper with Cyanotype and Gum
Bichromate processes.
I prepare and edit the photos with common images editing software (like Gimp
or Photoshop).
The project is an interpretation of a world where the people
are trapped in their own shadow, drawn by the sunlight.
Who are those people? I really believe they are
ourselves. We are migrants fleeing the real world, become by now a "liquid" world, where we have lost
our identity.
I discovered this new world where the "Blind Shapes" are the transposition of lost
identities and the obsession with appearance of our global media-dominated epoch has ended by
turning beauty into its contrary, divesting its surface of any real ontological significance.
